About Wayne Pinover

Dr. Wayne H. Pinover, DO, is a distinguished radiation oncologist based in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, with over 35 years of medical experience. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1988. Following his graduation, Dr. Pinover completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital, succeeded by a residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution in 1992. He further specialized with residencies in Radiation Oncology at Cooper Hospital and University Medical Center in 1994, and at Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1996.  Board-certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Pinover serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University. His clinical practice is located at the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion at Abington Jefferson Health in Willow Grove, PA, where he is affiliated with Jefferson Abington Hospital.  Throughout his career, Dr. Pinover has been actively involved in clinical research, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed publications. His recent works include studies on germline testing for prostate cancer, patient-reported outcomes in ultra hypofractionated regimens for prostate cancer, and evaluations of treatment breaks during radiation therapy for anal cancer.  Dr. Pinover’s dedication to patient care is reflected in his exceptional patient reviews, with an average rating of 5.0 out of 5. Requirements to achieve the COE designation are as follows: Complete advanced technique training. Maintain clinical proficiency by performing a minimum of 75 Barrigel procedures per year. Participate in quarterly educational content to maintain up to date on best practices.
